Problem with XML-RPC and getfriends

I'm getting an invalid response back when doing a call to getfriends.  I'm expecting "name" and "fullname" to be strings - but when the name is entirely numeric it's returned as an int instead.  See this response segment for an example.

Anyone at the LJ end want to fix this?  It means that the xml-rpc framework I use can't autopopulate objects from the xml.  Cheers!
