reply subjects

Hello. I'm not a developer, just your everyday user. I hope this is the right forum for this issue. If not, I apologize and request that you direct me to a more appropriate place.

Is there a reason that LJ now appends a "Re:" to all reply subject lines, no matter how you specifically word it? I don't really like it. It's kind of annoying. I like to have control over what I post, and sometimes I deliberately change the subject line and intentionally remove the "Re:". It's rather vexing, then, to discover that it's there anyway.
