More on the LiveJournal Data Protocol

Happy New Year!

bradfitz asked for example request/responses for the LiveJournal Data Protocol, so I've provided a sample Perl script which represents them as Perl data structures, and uses XMLRPC::Lite to marshal them into XML. These tools were chosen because they're the ones used in LiveJournal, so using them will do the most to speed implementation.

He also said that this was waiting on more things going into memcache. Of the six keys currently proposed, does anyone know which ones fetch only memcached data and which hit the database?
