The RSS 1.0 spec says ...the only modules that ship "in the box" with RSS 1.0 are Dublin Core and Syndication. But then their modules list from the same site includes a Content module. On the other hand, the Perl docs for XML::RSS mention Dublin Core, Syndication, and Taxonomy.
I'd like to use Content, as that lets me specify that the posts are HTML. So my questions:
- Do aggregators support Content? (Do we care? I don't think anyone will read this feed through an aggregator...)
- The spec says that <description> is required. However, the example for the content module leaves it out. I don't want to duplicate the post content and support both simultaneously...
After typing that, I'm strongly leaning towards just sticking HTML in the <description> and letting the aggregators figure it out.
