Introductions....

Hi all, I am a sys-admin at a physics lab, and I'm adapting LiveJournal to be used as an online Lab Journal. I'm doing this because it seems easier to get the physicists to enter into a blog, then in to a lab book (at least the younger ones); and an online laboratory journal is searchable, which is immensely useful. Physicists are not well known for documenting things (especially any software they develop), so this will help them greatly.

Setting up websites is a bit different for me, as clustering and high performance computing are my usual suspects. I have a few initial questions: How do I change the configuration so that codes are required for account generation/I generate the account for the user; rather than the default of anyone accessing the site being able to create an account?

-Thanks,
