Brad and I spent a few days last week in California at a meeting discussing Atom. I’ve mentioned it before a few times, so I don’t have much to add here, except that it looks pretty serious: there were people there from IBM, AOL, Blogger/Google, and Movable Type, as well as some of the people behind weblog-related tools.

Today, then:
The Brads went to the new office early this morning to start setting things up. I was left alone behind, where I worked on the blob storage backend and adding last-modified support to the RSS feeds.

The new office won’t have a real internet connection for a while, so the plan was to set up PPP (yes, using a modem!) between the office and Brad’s house. That took a lot more effort than it should have, but eventually we got it working.
