My name is C.J. Collier and I'm a geek(aholic).
I like Perl and community and open source. I've recently been putting a lot of time into getting involved in projects that I like, so I figured I'd add LiveJournal to my list. Until I joined LJ, I was working on my own community management system powered by Perl, MySQL, Apache and a bunch of other Open Source stuff. I started to develop a CMS for this which I am using for my home page. I've got quite a few ideas that I'd like to implement whether anyone besides me uses them or not. Nobody in the lj.com suggestion community seems interested in them, though so I thought I'd ask you all if you'd mind me implementing them and submitting the patch anyway. I don't want to step on anyone's toes, but I'm going to get this project finished one way or another. It seems that LJ is a lot farther along on the path than I am, so I thought I'd see about helping this community as well as furthering my own personal goals. Mutual benefit as it were ;)
If anyone would like to take a look at some of my code, let me know. I've been thinking about adding anonymous pserver to my CVS repository but few enough people have asked so far that I've been able to give them all full r/w access ;)
I look forward to working with all of you!
C.J. Collier
