DTD?

Who here has written LJ software that uses XML? What DTD are you using? I remember piman had done some work in this direction but I can't seem to find anything on his page.
Does /export.bml follow any particular DTD? (It looks like it generates the XML manually, that is, by printing <tag>s and escaping itself...)
