|Livejournal v. Websense?
||[Aug. 9th, 2004|12:55 pm]
Last week (2nd or 3rd August?) it became impossible to access|
LiveJournal at work. Here, the IT department have installed WebSense running on our internet
servers, and although previously we have been able to access
LiveJournal, now we get the following blocking page:
Access to this web page is restricted at this time.
Reason: The Websense category "Message Boards and Clubs" is filtered.
About 18 months ago, this happened, and in about a week or so it became
available again, so my question is this? Have LiveJournal recently
(re)classified themselves on the web under th Message Boards and Clubs
category or is this something purely internal to the company where I
work? If it is the former, can LiveJournal declassify them from there
category so that Websense no longer lists livejournal as such a website?
