HEY! Cheers. I'm new around lj_dev. The community's userinfo said to say hi once I joined, so... er... hi. :-)

I'm CaptainSpam. Hey. I've got a smallish bit of Perl experience behind me, as well as some time diddling with mySQL (None professional), and I'd like to put it to good use. I mean, besides a few odd projects I've done for myself over time (Mainly something I call The Dump Bin, a file listing CGI script). I just recently snagged the livejournal and ljcom code (Which one does what again?) with a couple ideas of stuff to throw in.

So, I thought I'd join. Any rules I should pay attention to when hacking the LJ code? Like, conventions with variable naming, cleanup, comments, etc?
