[Patch] for /friends/add.bml

Second try - I think yesterday's was ignored (maybe?) because it wasn't tested. If there was another reason for it not being in changelog then I'm sorry.

This was actually a "bug," in reference to this suggestion. The translator of /friends/add.bml placed .colors.fg and in en.dat, while add.bml uses .colors.foreground and .colors.background. This patch replaces .colors.foreground and .colors.background with .colors.fg and within add.bml.

Patch available here.

You may test this patch out here but you have to login first (use test/test).

This patch has been tested by me.

Broken Links in /code

I dunno if this is the right place to address this, so please forgive me if this is not the proper place, but the LJ Libraries in /code have broken links. (LJ::TextMessage, LJ::SpellCheck and LJ:Cache)

Also, did you guys switch the web server from apache to tux?

Is something like this currently being coded?

I believe the above is a wonderful idea, and I would fully support the use of it (and would code it, provided I had the skill needed). This feature would be extremely helpful to those who create another account (either because they want a new username or due to any other number of circumstances), as it would allow them to "transfer" their remaining paid time to their new account. The old account would become a free user, and the new would become a paid account. Or the user could divide the time equally and both accounts would hold a status of "paid".

Let me know if this is under development. I could find nothing in the suggestion area to prove it either way.

Can we please have a discussion about the possibility of changing the email address that LiveJournal comment email comes from? Hotmail is now apparently blocking at least part of the time. I know that the answer to that is "get a real email provider", but for some people that isn't an option, and the number of support requests regarding this problem is getting ludicrous.

Changing the reply address might not help all the problems. But it will almost certainly help some. 'dontreply' in an email address is a red flag to spam-blocking heuristics.

I don't know the details about the setup of LiveJournal's mail servers, and I don't know what it would break if we changed that email address. But it's just a simple change in

My suggestion for a change would be, with the corresponding username lj_comment flagged as not available for use.

Hey all - first post for me in lj_dev. I had an idea about fixing something that's been bugging me, and after looking around, I figured this would be a better place to post it than in suggestions.

Anyhow, the thing concerns clicking on an interest on a userinfo page. Normally, you get the option to click a link to add that interest to your interests list, but if more than 2000 people have it you just get a message saying "There are [x] people and/or communities listing this as an interest. A list won't be shown."

What I thought would be convenient would be to still have the "If you're also interested in this and would like to be added to this list, click here." line appear to save having to fiddle about in the personal settings to add this interest just because more than 2000 people also have it. Anyway, I took a copy of interests.bml and added the line that says "if you're also interested..." to the end of the line that says "A list won't be shown". The modified file can be found here if anyone wants to see it.
