OK, um, I used the file editor to replace the support-links file about 40 minutes ago, and if I try to re-edit, I see the new version. Meanwhile, the main Support page is still pulling in the old version.

Can someone tell me what's going on? Something's not syncing?

quick question,...

I'm writing my own client in basic. This is only cause I am really bored most of the time, and I would like to have some cool features, like offline posting to be uploaded upon signon, and stuff like that. but anyways, my question is about the properties. like for the mood and song and stuff. upon looking in the mode list file, it says something about a properties document, but I can't seem to find it anywhere, and I was wondering where this would be at? thanks

DNS help

Any DNS masters out there available to help me out for a few minutes? If so, email me your phone number and a good time to bug you.

Maintaining hosts files on 14 machines sucks. :-)

I want to setup a DNS server internally to do both forward (kyle -> and reverse ( -> kyle) DNS.

I want the primary on one debian box, then a slave on another ... then I'll set up a virtual server internally on the bigip so is always an alive DNS server.

I'm trying to set it up but I'm not sure how to do the reverse stuff. Doesn't seem to work:

Update: Got it working... thanks to corvar

Is there a mac emulator that I can use to view pages using IE on the Mac? I have a serious bug that I need to be able to see in order to fix, but I have no macintosh to test with.

The "ljcom" code in CVS is intended for use by ... as such, there may be things in it, like the string "". You've been mailing when you're creating accounts for yourself and friends the past few days.

I've updated the code in CVS to use "accounts\@$LJ::DOMAIN" so this doesn't happen any more. Please go update from CVS. :-)

Bug? getevents w/ usejournal

Hey guys. I've been working on an option to download your shared journals in my client, but apparently I've run into a bug. Here is the header that's being sent to the server, verbatim (except for the stripped password) from the debug log:

POST /cgi-bin/log.cgi HTTP/1.0
Content-type: application/x-www-url-formencoded
Content-length: 111
Connection: Close

mode=getevents&user=xb95&hpassword=<password stripped>&selecttype=syncitems&usejournal=lochjournal

I'm using the usejournal key like the protocal list says, however, when the server returns its reply, it's sending me xb95's journal, not the entries from the shared lochjournal journal.

Am I just missing something here, or is this a bug? Known, unknown, fix in the works, or whatnot?

Another thing I just noticed is the fact that if you specify usejournal=xb95 or whatever your username is, it says "You do not have access to post to this journal." Heh.
