how is friends page populated? [Aug. 6th, 2001|08:36 am]

I hope this doesn't sound like too basic a question for lj_dev... but how is the friends page populated? When it goes to the server, what commands does it use to retrieve, say, the most recent 20 friends entries (the number which obviously is specified in your friends page setup)? Is there an http:// that I could send that would, say, retrieve only the one last recent friends post? Or is there a GET or method that I could send from within an application that would do this? Thanks. :)

spamscore 10/10 [Aug. 6th, 2001|10:39 am]

I get the emails to let me know that someone has replied to my post. In the past several months, I noticed that suddenly, my emails from LJ started receiving a spam score of 10/10 just as I was about to turn on the filtering. What could be causing the high score? Is there anything that can be done to improve the spam score, so I can turn on filtering? I would be happy to help in this effort, if there is something I can do. In the back of my mind, I keep thinking, "could this be from the denial of service flooding?"

Thanks, in advance!
