So update.bml has some issues with Macs and IE5. I did a hack but if you look at the source you'll notice that I'm implicitly stating the dates between daylights savings time. Since JavaScript doesn't have a DST flag on the date object, would it be possible to use pl to dynamically create these dates? Or can anyone think of a better way other than this..

fastserver details [May. 16th, 2001|01:33 am]

visions has already added support for the fastserver stuff in the MFC client. I went to add support to loserjabber thinking it'd take me a few minutes but nearly shit myself when I saw how complicated the code has gotten.... I used to understand it all. Now evan's got a half dozen libraries, none of which I'm familiar with. So Evan ... if you have time, want to add it? :-)

The login mode documentation has been updated.

LJ was flooded at 10:00 PST ... 80 Mbits of incoming traffic. Great. So Dormando... how about them firewall rules, eh?

We need a router/firewall [May. 16th, 2001|02:24 pm]
LiveJournal Development

In response to muerte's recent question....

Yes, we're running out of ports on our little 8 (or 10?) port Linksys 100 Mbps switch, and a hardware firewall would be nice. In fact, I think we're already out of room with our little switch. We won't have enough for the 4 new machines we're putting in tomorrow and this weekend.

Also, we're going to be moving into a real rack cabinet soon, so we need a rack-mountable router/switch/firewall ... suggestions on which one to buy?

Please only speak up if you have something valuable to offer.
